Two visitors to Wynn Las Vegas celebrated massive slot jackpot wins in August within the same 24 hours.
Both players hit $1 million jackpots at the Wynn Resorts property within 18 hours of each other at the end of the month. Both were playing Dragon Link machines by Aristocrat.
Elsewhere in Las Vegas in recent weeks, a $454,044 jackpot hit at Rampart Casino in Summerlin. In the wider Nevada area, a $1.1 million jackpot hit in Lake Tahoe, and a $225,422 win hit at Casablanca Resort & Casino in Mesquite, Nevada.
Also over the month, Las Vegas-based online casino BetMGM paid out its largest U.S. online casino jackpot of $6.65 million. That player was located in New Jersey.
The Big Wins
The biggest win of the month in Nevada occurred at Wynn Las Vegas on August 24. At 6 p.m. that day, one player hit a $1.191 million jackpot on a Dragon Link slot machine by Aristocrat Gaming.
Then at around noon the next day, another Dragon Link slot at the Wynn paid out a $1,005,405 jackpot to a second lucky player.
Neither player revealed their name. Both said they were regular visitors to the Wynn Resorts property. Dragon Link developer Aristocrat Gaming recently opened a huge new gambling game production facility in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson.
Just behind the first big winner at Wynn for the biggest Silver State jackpot win of the month was a visitor to the Grand Lodge Casino in Lake Tahoe.
On August 22, the San Francisco, California, player hit a $1.137 million win while at the casino property, which was attached to the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. They placed a $10 wager on Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Deluxe, which proved a fortunate decision for them.
“With this latest jackpot, the casino has paid out almost $9 million in Wheel of Fortune Wide Area Progressives,” said Jill Stewart, Grand Lodge Casino director of marketing, in a press release.
“To have so many life-changing jackpots here is incredible. We pride ourselves on our customer service and the beautiful atmosphere. Hopefully, this shows people you can win just as much at Grand Lodge Casino as you can at the big resorts.”

Elsewhere in Nevada in August, one player hit a $454,044 spin and another hit a $255,000 jackpot. The $454,000 winner was playing a Monopoly Cash Wheel game at the Rampart Casino in the Las Vegas suburb of Summerlin.
They had only been playing for ten minutes, betting $5 a spin, when they hit the jackpot prize.
The $255K win happened at Casablanca Resort and Casino in the fast-growing town of Mesquite. The player, who gave her name as Ginger T., hit the $255,000 jackpot on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine.
