Slot machine and gambling tech manufacturer Aristocrat has opened a large new production facility in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, Nevada.
The 265,000-square-foot space is on Volunteer Boulevard in the south Las Vegas suburbs, near the Las Vegas Raiders offices and Penn Entertainment’s M Resort casino.
It was opened on Thursday, August 22, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero and Aristocrat CEO Hector Fernandez.
The Australian-based firm says the new factory is the largest of its production facilities around the globe. It has 12 production lines, compared to eight at its previous largest facility. Work on the project began in 2022. Aristocrat plans to continue expanding the facility with more office space, with the aim of building a campus for educating potential new employees on the site by the end of 2025.
“This team has been waiting for this for a long time, and we’re happy that we’re finally here and we have the ability to grow into our future,” said Aristocrat Gaming chief supply chain officer Deanne McKissick.
The Facility
Aristocrat Gaming is the main subsidiary of Aristocrat Leisure Ltd.
Aristocrat is one of the biggest suppliers of slots to Las Vegas casinos, offering many a gambler’s favorite slot games. Its famous titles include the Buffalo series, Dragon Link, Lightning Link, and 2023’s new range of official National Football League slots.
Many of these slots will now be made in Las Vegas. The massive facility will have 250,000 feet of production space and 25,000 square feet of new offices. It will create some 500 new jobs to add to the 700 or so already employed by Aristocrat at its existing Las Vegas offices.
The company said the facility will be its new hub for manufacturing across North and Latin America regions.
“The new space complements the company’s North American headquarters in Summerlin, demonstrating Aristocrat Gaming’s commitment to Southern Nevada and the communities in which its more than 1,200 local employees live and work,” the company said in a press release.
Many of the most popular Aristocrat slot games have linked progressive jackpots, which have made dozens of millionaires across the U.S. in the past year alone.
That included one lucky winner who hit several huge Lightning Link jackpot wins over the space of 10 days earlier in 2024 at Caesars Palace.
