Controversial internet personality and avid high stakes gambler Adin Ross (pictured, left) has this week given away $20,000 to a couple he randomly picked at a Las Vegas casino.
Live streamer Ross was in Sin City on Tuesday visiting the popular Red Rock Casino Resort. That’s when he decided to give away $2,000 to a random passer-by.
After handing over the cash to a couple sitting at a nearby slot machine, they told him they recently adopted an autistic child and that the money was going to help them a lot. Ross then upped his on-the-spot donation to $20,000 in cash.
The popular livestreamer, who now rolls in rich and famous circles, including close friends like UFC-owner and fellow high limit gambler Dana White, said he would be doing more such random giveaways in the future. He recently teamed with global popstar and high limit sports bettor Drake to give away $250,000 worth of cash and prizes on a livestream session held shortly before Christmas.
The Giveaways
Ross was at Red Rock Casino Resort in Las Vegas this week, where he is known to frequent the high limit rooms. While walking and livestreaming on the casino floor, he decided to donate $2,000 in gambling winnings to a random stranger.
Upon approaching a couple sitting at the nearest slot machine, Ross handed them the cash.
“I promise you, it’s yours, I don’t want a dime back. You can do whatever you want with it, it’s all yours. God bless you, sir and ma’am,” he said in the clip, shared on YouTube.
The couple, now living in Las Vegas but originally from Chicago, were very thankful for the gift. When they explained to Ross they would be putting the cash towards caring for the severely autistic and non-verbal child they recently adopted, he produced another $18,000 of his own cash and handed that over to the couple.
“I’m here to inspire people to do something nice in the world, there’s too much hate, and we’re all separated. It’s all about love. I’m try’na do something nice, that’s what it’s all about,” Ross said.
Afterwards, the streamer told his thousands of fans watching on the livestream that he planned on doing more random giveaways like this in the future.
Gambling Career
Ross got his streaming start in 2016, playing basketball video game NBA2K and chatting on Twitch. He gradually built up his reputation for his game skills and oddball behavior, before starting to meet pro basketballers to play for cash on livestreams.
However, in mid-2023, the platform started cracking down on controversial content.
That included Ross’ streaming of high stakes online gambling sessions and risqué chats with popular models from online sex work subscription service OnlyFans. The final straw was when he broadcast allegedly racist comments from his viewers during a livestream to tens of thousands of viewers.
In the end, the Twitch ban only led Ross to a multimillion dollar deal with Kick, the streaming service founded by the owners of huge cryptocurrency casino Stake.com.
The ban from Twitch also led to more exposure for Ross, as he was championed as a victim of the culture wars by various famous right-wing media figures and politicians. Since then, he has often been seen at Red Rock Resort, which is owned by major Republican donors – and supporters of President-elect Donald Trump – Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta.
Ross now counts fellow controversial streamer xQc, global rap star Drake, UFC-owner Dana White, and highly controversial social media personality Andrew Tate as close friends. In 2024, he sat down for a two-hour rambling interview with President-elect Trump, clips of which have racked up hundreds of millions of views online.
