Streamer xQc Loses $1.52M on Slots, Insults Game Developer Pragmatic Play

Controversial former professional gamer turned livestreamer xQc (pictured) lost $1.5 million this week while livestream gambling. Shortly afterwards, the Canadian launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at slots developer Pragmatic Play, whom it seems, he at least partly blamed for his big loss.

During a nine-hour stream on the Kick platform earlier this week, xQc started out with $1.5 million in his account at cryptocurrency offshore casino Stake.com.

However, by the end of the session, that balance had fallen to under $125. After saying he was done and turning the camera off — but still with live audio — the streamer launched into an expletive-laden rant at Pragmatic Play.

Among other things, he accused the developer of personally rigging games against him because he had argued with the CEO. He also said that Pragmatic Play games are blacklisted by advantage gamblers on online forums, and that the company was going downhill and losing customers.

The Loss

Livestreamer xQc has a multimillion-dollar contract with Kick, owners of Stake.com, where he claims to have gambled more than $3 billion in the past five years.

On Wednesday night, the Canadian streamer sat down to play some slots on Stake in front of his tens of thousands of avid watchers. He started with $1.5 million in his account, which was the leftover from $3 million he had built up to in a previous gambling stream.

After nine hours of slot gaming, including some decent wins, but mostly losses, his balance dropped to less than $125. During this losing streak, he was playing mostly Pragmatic Play slots, including Big Bass Bonanza, Big Bass Splash, Candy Bonanza, and some of their newer games, like Fire Portals

It was losses on the newer games that sent xQc over the edge. After placing his last bet for the stream and closing his camera, Pragmatic Play got both barrels from the popular streamer.

The Outburst

I’m not stupid. I’m not stupid. I called Pragmatic Play out on their shit. My account doesn’t hit any more. I get it….” the streamer said, clipped here on YouTube.

As well as the expletive-laden rant, xQc also claimed that no gambling streamers like Pragmatic’s games, and that they are “blacklisted” by serious advantage gamblers on internet forums.

Pragmatic Play is one of the world’s leading slot developers. They are the second-most seen slot provider in Canada, and also high up in Europe. But the Malta-based company has failed to make much of an impact in the growing U.S. market.
