The Hustler Casino Live stream this week on Thursday wasn’t a Friday night headline event. But the stakes still got very high in a night of dramatic action on the felt. Two pots hit the $500,000 mark over the evening, as several new faces joined the regulars for a six-hour stream.
The biggest hand of the night played out between the biggest winner and the biggest loser. Known only as Dennis (pictured) and Peter, the two battled over a $600,000 pot, which saw four-of-a-kind and a flush possible on the turn, followed by $226K all-in.
However, Dennis saw the four-of-a-kind drop on the river to beat Peter’s top pair, winning $603,000 in the process.
The Action
The $200/$400 blind no-limit hold’em cash game was played, as usual, in the Hustler Casino Live studio in Los Angeles, California.
Although there were no celebrity faces causing controversy, the poker action was just as intense.
Stream co-owner Ryan Feldman started the night out big, raising to a $518,000 pot in just the first hour. Stream regular Peter and Feldman played out the turn and the river three times for the monster pot. Feldman hit flushes on the first two, and then Peter ran out the third, so they split the pot two-thirds to one-third, respectively.
Much later in the night, towards the end of proceedings, a $600K pot hit the felt.
Dennis and Peter battled it out, with Dennis seeing possible quad sixes on the turn, and Peter with the open flush draw. In the end, Peter could only make an ace high – but he still called the quad sixes all-in from Dennis, only to see the $600,000 pot that he’d triple-raised fall from his grasp.
The Biggest Hands
Although the pots were certainly high stakes by anyone’s standards, Thursday night’s $600K hand was nowhere near the biggest seen on the Hustler Casino Live stream.
That honor goes to the 2023 edition of their Million-Dollar Game. Which, as you would think, had a cool $1 million buy- in. That night, a $3 million pot changed hands.
In the biggest hand, stream regular Wesley three bet Ace King before the flop for $60,000 against Tom Dwan’s pocket queens. The family pot fell to two when the flop came unkindly to anyone. But with only ace high, Wesley continued to raise in a risky high-stakes bluff.
Dwan thought about his call when Wesley made the five bet for $275,000, and then again with a huge $350,000 raise. But Dwan persisted in the hand and pulled it out of the bag with just the queen pair he’d started on for a $3.1 million total win.
