While the real Paris, France, celebrates hosting a (mostly) successful 2024 Olympics, Paris Las Vegas casino resort is gearing up to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its September 1, 1999 opening.
Just some of the celebratory offers feature premium anniversary gambling chips, exclusive tickets to the viewing deck on the replica Eiffel Tower, and a series of restaurant experiences, including a tasting session with popular celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
Originally conceived by Bally Entertainment in May 1995, the completed resort opened in 1999 and became part of Caesars Entertainment in 2003.
“People love Paris Las Vegas for its Parisian-inspired atmosphere and replicas of iconic landmarks on The Strip,” said Sean McBurney, regional president of Caesars Entertainment.
“As we recognize 25 years of success, we thank our dedicated Team Members and loyal guests who enjoy celebrating French culture with us. It’s also an exciting time for new and returning visitors to experience all the resort offers, including our delicious food and beverage options and renovated Versailles Tower rooms.”
The Anniversary
This year, Paris Las Vegas also celebrated jointly hosting the 2024 World Series of Poker, which was a record-breaking event for the world’s premier poker tournament. It also opened the newly remodeled Versailles tower, complete with the first new open balcony view rooms to open on the Las Vegas Strip for nearly 15 years.
At the beginning of September, it will turn 25 years old. Caesars has many events and deals planned in celebration.
Gamblers on the casino floor will be able to take home limited edition $15 and $25 Paris Las Vegas casino chips for the next two weeks, ending on September 1.
Outside of gambling, the resort’s restaurants and attractions will also be offering up exclusives. The resort’s three celebrity chef restaurants, The Bedford by Martha Stewart, Gordon Ramsay Steak, and Vanderpump à Paris will have curated anniversary menus from August 25 to September 1.
They will each feature a highlight selection of dishes from across the 25 years of Paris’ operation, and the celebrity chefs behind each brand will be making appearances throughout the week. Guests attending on August 30 or September 1 will receive a complimentary chocolate Eiffel Tower dessert with their meal.
The operator is also offering discounts on spa, wedding, and luxury suite room packages for the second half of August.
The History
Paris Las Vegas was built by Bally Entertainment as a sister property to Bally’s Las Vegas, which is just next door. It cost some $785 million to build. Most of the major Las Vegas casino resorts being built at the time were following in the footsteps of the highly successful (and now closed) Mirage Las Vegas in targeting high-end clients.
Paris Las Vegas specifically set out to buck that trend, offering more options at a middle-tier price point for a wider market appeal.
The 3,600-room hotel resort initially contained one tower and several replicas of famous Parisian landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Caesars Entertainment now owns both properties. It renamed Bally’s Las Vegas as the Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2022.
Caesars transformation of the Horseshoe included transferring its second hotel tower, formerly the Jubilee, to Paris Las Vegas.
