Four Winds New Buffalo Jackpot Streak Continues with $1M Win

Gamblers at Four Winds Casinos have been on a hot streak in recent weeks. Just a week ago, one player hit a $536,614 slot jackpot on a $5 spin at Four Winds New Buffalo.

Now, over this last weekend, another visitor has hit a life-changing win at the Michigan casino. The fortunate player hit a $1,008,222 progressive jackpot on an Ultimate Fire Link Explosion slot machine on May 24. The lucky gambler, visiting from Harvey, Illinois, chose to remain anonymous.

Just a week earlier, on May 19, another visitor from Illinois hit a $80,874 win from an 80-cent bet on a Shamrock Fortune slot machine.

Similarly, on April 30, a man at Four Winds South Bend in Indiana bet $0.80 and won more than $170K on a Double Blessings machine.

“We’ve got a wide variety of exciting games and wager options to provide enjoyment for every guest preference and style,” said Chief Operating Officer of Four Winds Casinos Mary Smith in a press release.

“Winning life-changing jackpots is always a possibility.”

The Winning Games

The most recent big win was on Ultimate Fire Link Explosion, a slot in the Fire Link progressive jackpot series by Light & Wonder. The visitor from Illinois won $1.08 million from a $15 bet.

The guest who turned 80 cents into more than $80,000 was playing a Shamrock Fortune machine at Four Winds New Buffalo. It is a four-by-three reel game with a three-tiered jackpot, made by American Gaming Systems, or AGS.

The winner at Four Winds North Bend in Indiana was visiting from Mishawaka, Indiana. They turned an $0.88 bet into $177,894 on a Double Blessings slot game by Bally Technologies. (The slot maker owned by Light & Wonder, not to be confused with casino operator Bally’s.)

Double Blessings is an Asian-themed game, which is a successor to the popular Dancing Drums. Both games have been at U.S. casinos for years.

The Casinos

Four Winds Casinos are operated by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, with four venues across Michigan and Indiana. The Four Winds New Buffalo is their flagship venue, which the operators say is the largest casino in Indiana by square footage.

It has more than 3,000 slots and 60 table games across its 130,000-square-foot casino floor, plus several restaurants and bars and a 400-room resort hotel.
